Portugal Classic and the Portuguese Historic Vehicle Club are pleased to organise the 32nd edition of the Algarve Classic Cars on July 11th, 12th, and 13th, a historic regularity rally which is included in the calendar of the FPAK and the International Federation of Historic Vehicles.
Once again, we will have our support base at the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura and the Vilamoura Marina from where we will set off on road courses that have been replanned with interest, in order to meet the competitors' satisfaction, and we are convinced that they will be appreciated by all the participants.
We highlight for this edition the presence of the Algarve Classic Cars in Olhão and Faro, municipalities where we have been absent for many years. We will provide participants with a visit to these charismatic cities of the Algarve.
Olhão and Faro are historically associated with the Ria Formosa Natural Park, being today one of the most attractive tourist attractions in the Algarve. To provide a unique experience in a unique atmosphere and make known a little of the Ria Formosa, the organization will provide a boat ride, which will be an unforgettable trip in this natural park.
We will also visit the charismatic and historic market of Olhão, as well as the historic center of Faro.
Murganheira, one of the sponsors of Algarve Classic Cars, will welcome all participants with its products before the Murganheira Stage and will also reward the great winners of the rally with its prestigious sparkling wines.
The Porsche Centre Faro will again be one of the main sponsors of the event, and they will provide the competitors who participate with classic Porsche cars, several special prizes, and we are convinced that it will be a good reason for their participation with a classic Porsche.
As usual, and in order to meet the demands of the participants and to improve the efficiency of the organization, we have again created two courses:
Soft Race (Touring Course), in which the participant will have to perform in an optional way 4 special classification tests, and the possibility to have a more relaxed participation, privileging the social part.
Full Race (Regularity Route), in which the participant will have to run the 18 special classification tests, and in which the organisation will be very strict in what concerns the fulfilment of the race rules.
The timing of the event will be done again by My Time, with the most modern and innovative timing system for sports events, which will transmit the results online.
We would like to mention that accommodation is optional and limited in the number of rooms in each of the hotels. For this fact and the high hotel occupancy on the dates of the event, we suggest booking your accommodation as soon as possible.
The organization has an agreement with a car transportation company, with special conditions for competitors, in order to facilitate the transportation of vehicles from Porto and Lisbon. We would like to mention that the organization will not be responsible for the transport, but will make the connection between the competitor and the transport company.
Considering that in the last edition of the event, the inscriptions were more than 120, which forced us to limit the final number of participants, we would be very grateful to you for sending us your inscription form filled in and with a picture of your car, until the 3rd of July, so that it can appear in the event's catalogue that we are preparing for this year.
With our most cordial greetings, we hope to be able to count on your presence on the 11th of July until 6pm, to carry out its technical and documentary verification.
Kind regards
Luis Brito
